Internation Womens Day

As Audre Lorde remarked, “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own."

Indeed, at Tenakata we truly believe in empowering our women - who are not only our mothers, sisters and friends, but also our treasured partners in a majority of the #MSMEs we support on our Tenakata platform!

We continue to champion our women to be truly financially free and this can only be done through a robust drive towards financial inclusion by way of financial literacy and access to finance. That’s our mission at Tenakata.

In celebrating #Internationalwomenday2021 the #Tenakata team joined:

  • The great women of Kajiado North sub-county in partnership with our friends at Dada Digital; and
  • Our amazing women vendors at Toi Market, Kibra. During both events we celebrated women for the undeniably incredible role they play in society and continue to pledge our unwavering support to all women! In honour of #WomenHistoryMonth, we serialised exceptional women who inspire us. Stay tuned!
